JNVR 2009/28 - The Swedish model for labour migration
Aflevering 4, gepubliceerd op 01-11-2009 geschreven door Carlander, ÅsaThe Swedish government introduced new rules for labour immigration to Sweden on 15 December 2008. Through this reform, Sweden has created one of the most flexible and efficient systems for labour migration in the world today. It is entirely demand driven, in the sense that it is employers themselves that decide whom to employ, and it welcomes labour migrants of all skills levels. Migrants that are admitted to Sweden will be given full access to equal rights and they may bring their family members with them from day one. The spouse of the labour migrant will also be granted full access to the labour market.
